Six-year-old Charlotte was an active and vibrant little girl who loved riding horses, roller skating, and playing outdoors with her siblings. However, her life took a devastating turn when she was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of cancer called Adrenocortical Carcinoma. Despite the odds, Charlotte faced her illness with bravery and optimism.
Tragically, Charlotte's family had already endured hardship when her father, Tom, passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest in 2018, leaving behind Charlotte, her identical twin sister Madalynn, older brother Axel, and younger brother Adam. Charlotte's mother, Evelyn, had to make the difficult decision to stay home permanently to care for her children, especially after Charlotte's diagnosis.
The Clackamas County Community has been the only home for the family, with both Tom and Evelyn being alumni of Milwaukie High School. The community rallied around the family, offering support and love during this difficult time. Charlotte's siblings even shaved their heads in solidarity with her during her treatment.
Despite the challenges, Charlotte remained resilient and hopeful for the future. She looked forward to reuniting with the horses she loved, putting on her skates, and playing outdoors with her siblings once again. Sadly, Charlotte passed away in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of courage and strength. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
